After the passing of my Wife, realisation kicked in that we hadn't got a funeral director in place. We looked on Google for local independent funeral directors. I'm so glad Bay Tree came up on the search list. From start to finish they conducted everything in a professional, respectful way. From the order of service to the choice of cars, the professionalism of staff, it was just a pleasure and a breath of fresh air to deal with such a great company in what was such a difficult and traumatic time. If you have to suffer the unfortunate event of losing a loved one and need a reliable, respectful and professional team who offer the utmost dignity then please use Bay Tree. Commissioned to organise my late fathers funeral the first dilemna was to select which local funeral director to use and having spoke to a few and compared prices i opted for Bay Tree Funeral Services in Blaby after speaking to Sam. I felt re-assured that they could provide what the family were looking for. At such a sad time Sam guided me through all the options, processes providing pragmatic advice, support and even recommended Pastor Philip to carry out the service and he was excellent. Sam and her team are absolutely amazing, from beginning to end they made the process a lot easier( it's not a situation that can be considered easy) but something that could be dealt with. Every step was explained and often explained again so we knew what was happening. The care from her team was exemplary, honestly it was so nice to have people around that could support us when we were trying to hold ourselves together. This business is a family one and it shows. We chose Baytree for my Grandads funeral. Sam could not have been more helpful, she even spoke to me while he was in hospital (end of life) and talked me through what would happen, nothing was to much trouble. There was no pressure to go overly expensive or pushiness into anything. Really relaxed environment and everything was planned exactly as the family wanted. The service was beautiful, Sam listened to us talking about grandad and the sort of person he was and found the perfect celebrant to conduct the service. This was the first time I have had to plan a funeral ( my mother’s) and I didn’t know where to start. My dad, daughter and myself made an appointment to speak to Sam to advise us on what to do! From the moment we walked in Sam was the most understanding, empathetic person we have met. Sam took us through the whole process of what to do and what to expect. Through all the turmoil, tears and pain Sam was there in person or at the end of the phone to reassure and guide us through this nightmare we were experiencing. From the first time we met Samantha to discuss options for my mum’s funeral; right through to the day itself and beyond I cannot fault her. At a time when you feel raw with emotion and unsure Sam was always there and on hand - always giving you a truly genuine and personal experience. Bay tree was our chosen funeral directors, recommended to us by the chaplain at Loros hospice. After losing my dad earlier this year, myself and my mum were clueless as to where to get started in arranging and organising a funeral, Sam and the other staff at bay tree funerals made the whole experience so smooth and relaxed. Our first meeting with Sam to organise the funeral was very comforting, we went through all the details and put our own personal requests which were all met greatly. I heard that funeral directors can try and get you to spend more on unnecessary additions to the funeral because you are vulnerable, but Sam did the total opposite, if anything she helped us save money, and still provided us with everything we asked for , it was a great comfort knowing that my dad was in good hands and was well looked after until his cremation, thank you Sam and your team for making one of the hardest things, one of the most stress free experiences you could ask for. ~ A F

Absolutely brilliant service from Samantha! Samantha was so so friendly and provided a beautiful service! The horse drawn carriage and the horses were absolutely amazing and so professional! Don’t review much only when awful or exceptional and I have to say Baytree and Sam was exceptional, very welcoming , understanding and friendly , all what you need at such sad and overwhelming time .
